- We have spent thousands of dollars on a programming team to develop a system, to only later find out that they actually“owned” our product and we had to license it from them, if we ever wanted to use it! Something we could have avoided with a simple clause in the contract had we of known about it.
- Another time we spent thousands of dollars on a corporate website design to only find out later we could have gotten a better one for only a few dollars at the most!
- And if that wasn’t enough, we once purchased a server for $7,000 to only find out later we had only purchased access to a hard drive that sat in a server with several other hard drives right along with several other naive companies who were being taken to the cleaners like us!
